In Namibia, as my friend and I raced across the wasteland, two powerful scenes struck me deep in my soul. Leaping into the circle of the Himba people, kicking up the dust together. The raw power of their voices at close range and the heavy, earth-shaking rhythm of their breath. The suffocating tension inside a car tearing through the pitch-black wilderness at 140 km/h amidst unreasonable trouble.
The shouting match between a plainclothes officer and the driver, piercing the silence of the savanna.
The scent of dust and the raw, visceral heat of Namibia I felt in those moments, they are all right here.

The journey began with Brendon, a 20 year old I met in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
His communication felt like pure talent, and within minutes he naturally became one of us.
Talking with him felt like talking to a young rapper, and I quickly got drawn in.
The weather was gentle, so we went to a supermarket, bought random local snacks, and sat on the roadside to eat.
We talked about nothing in particular while slowly chewing the snacks.
Those easy moments were the first thing that taught me the temperature of Namibia…
